The mission of the Patriots is to raise funds for procuring parks and recreational equipment for the Village by means of fund raisers determined by the members of the organization. All monies received into the Patriot's general fund shall be used only to purchase equipment, to make improvements, or to purchase land to increase the park acreage within the Village. Membership is open, subject to approval of majority of members present at any regular meeting. No members shall receive any salary or compensation for duties performed. The Patriots have only one fund raiser per year, the Camelot Auction held on the 2nd Saturday of November. In 2005 the Patriots were designated a "non-profit" organization. All donations made directly to the Patriots are tax deductible Meeting are held once a month, from June through December, additional meetings are called as needed. In the past years the Patriots have raised over $300,000 for Swansea parks; Mel Price, Centennial, and Schranz Memorial Parks.
